A K-12 school in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) School Psychologist to support students throughout the 2025-2026 school year on a full-time contract basis. This important role involves working on-site across multiple schools within the district, serving a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs
- Provide counseling and intervention support to students, families, and staff
- Collaborate with educators and administration to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Support mental health initiatives and crisis intervention efforts within the schools
Qualifications And Experience
- Masters degree or higher in Psychology
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and Illinois School Psychologist License
- Fluency in English and Spanish required for effective communication
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with a variety of stakeholders
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Des Plaines, Illinois with potential travel to multiple school sites in the district
- Full-time contract, up to 37.5 hours per week
- On-site work only; remote work is not available
